CHRONOS-II delay (lite)

A/D hybrid delay (600msec) that simulates tape delay.
CHRONOS II is the successor of our classic CHRONOS delay, slightly simplified circuitwise and with a slight improvement on the sound quality of the repeats at long delay times.
A master volume knob has been added which also offers volume boost of 6dB at max position. The pedal is suitable for both clean and distorted signals.

The circuit is a D/A hybrid that offers a very natural sound with feedback that simulates tape delay units as the repeats decay in a very natural way. The first repeats are quite clean but as you increase the amount of repeats the become more lo-fi as they fade. Your dry signal goes through the pedal in a totally analog way, remaining intact.

The pedal can also self-oscillate when the feedback knob is set in a position after 3 o’clock.

Knobs:
▹  TIME: adjust the delay time up-to 600msec
FDBK: feedback, adjusts the number of repeats. If set after the 3 o’clock the circuit self oscillates producing endless loops.
▹  MIX: adjusts the level of delayed signal that is mixed in analog way with your dry signal.
▹  VOL: master volume knob. At its max position it offers a +6dB boost

Nomenclature:
- CHRONOS (Greek: Χρόνος) is the Greek word for TIME. - CHRONOS is also the personification of time in ancient Greek mythology (not to be confused with the Titan Cronus). He was considered to have the shape of a three-headed serpent. The heads were those of a man, a bull and a lion. Along with his daughter Ananke (Ἀνάγκη), the goddess of inevitability who was also in the form of a snake, he revolved around the primordial world egg, until they split it apart to form the earth, the sea and the sky.
